Get to know Family Nurse Practitioner, Stephanie Nelson, who serves patients in McAllen, Texas.

Stephanie is a family nurse practitioner who has enjoyed nursing for over 15 years and still continues her passion for assisting the women of the Rio Grande Valley. She practices at Born Again Obstetrics & Gynecology in McAllen, Texas. Born Again Obstetrics & Gynecology provide the full range of gynecologic services for women of all ages. Whether it’s a well woman exam, family planning, a pap smear, breast health, or a gynecologic issue, the providers working there are proficient at managing both routine and problem visits. They understand the special needs of women at all stages of life. Having always had a heart for helping others, Stephanie knew from a young age that she wanted to pursue a career in the medical profession. Right out of high school, she obtained her Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) degree from South Texas Community College. She worked at Rio Grande Regional Hospital while getting her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) and her Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degrees from the University of Texas-Pan American.
